Palak Paneer


Palak/SPinach - 1 bunch/1 pack
Onion - 1
Green chillies - 4
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masal powder - 1/2 tsp
Cashew pieces - 5 no
poppy seeds - 1/2 tsp
jeera seeds - 1/2 spoon
Fried paneer - As needed

In a kadai add very little oil and fry palak and green chillies till they are cooked. Alternative way in a vessel add 3/4 cup of water and add the spinach and green chillies and allow it to boil/ cook till they are done. Cool it and make a paste.

In a different kadai heat oil and add jeera seeds( optional), next add onion and fry till golden brown, then add ginger garlic paste and saute. Now add the palak paste and (cashew and poppy seeds paste( optional)). Finally add the chilli powders and garam masala powder and cook it for just few mts. just before removing or serving add the fried paneer.

You can add the cashew and poppy seeds depending on your taste and thickness or omit any of those.
