Lemon Rasam


Ingredients Needed :
  1. Lemon juice - 3 to 4 tsp.
  2. Salt to taste .
  3. Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp.
  4. Cooked toor dhall little
  5. Coriander leaves
For Grinding :
  1. Tomatoes - 2
  2. Green Chilies - 1 or 2
  3. Ginger - small piece
For tempering :
  1. Oil
  2. Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp.
  3. Jeera - 1/4 tsp.
  4. Curry leaves
Method : 

Grind tomatoes + ginger + chili into thick juice. In a vessel add the juice + salt + lime juice + pepper powder and bring it to boil well. Once it gets thick add reqd. amount of water and then once it starts to boil add cooked dhall mixed with water. Once the rasam raises above in a thick foamy form switch off the gas and temper with the above ingredients and garnish with coriander leaves.
    Note : 

    after adding salt only lime juice to be added , or else it will get sour taste..the same tip to be followed while making lemon rice .
