Pineapple Rasam


Ingredients needed :
  • Pineapple pieces - 1 cup
  • Lime juice -1/4 tsp.
  • Pepper powder -1/4 tsp.
  • Salt - to taste
  • coriander leaves - for garnishing
For Grinding :
  • Pineapple pieces - 1 cup
  • Ginger - Small piece
  • Green Chili - 1 or 2
  • Small size Tomatoes -2 (Finely chopped)
For Tempering :
  • Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp.
  • Jeera - 1/4 tsp.
  • Curry leaves - one string
Method :

Cut pineapple into small pieces and keep it ready. Grind all the ingredients given into a thick consistency. In a vessel , add pineapple pieces + grinded juice and salt +lime juice + pepper powder and allow it to boil well now add the cooked toor dhall and required amount of water. Once it comes up as a thick foamy form switch off the gas and temper the rasam with the given ingredients and garnish with coriander leaves
