"Baked" Cauliflower Manchurian



Now here comes another "Baked" avatar of a deep fried item. Yeah, I know many people who thou knew how to make Cauliflower Manchurian and loved it never tried it out frequently cos of guess wat..hehehehe...OIL. I'm sure this recipe which is totally baked would bring a smile bac to their faces and tastebuds.

Ingredients:

To make Batter:
  • Cauliflower - 1 medium sized
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Chilli pdr - 1 tsp
  • Corriander pds - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin pdr - 1/2 tsp
  • Amchurn pdr - 1/4 tsp
  • Pepper pdr - 1/4 tsp
  • Cornflour - 2 tbsp
  • Water
  • Salt

To make sauce:
  • Oil - 1tbsp
  • Onion - 1 medium sized
  • Capsicum - 1/2
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Green Chilli - 1 (opt)
  • Soy sauce - 2 tbsp
  • Tomato sauce or ketchup - 2 tbsp
  • Chilli sauce - 1 tsp (opt)
  • Spring onions - 1Corriander (opt)


 Preparation:

First make the batter with the above mentioned batter ingredients. Make sure that the batter is a lil thick.It should not be too watery.After making the batter, allow it to rest for 10 mins. Then spread it on a baking sheet and bake it in a preheated oven (400 F) for 15 to 20 mins. If the batter is not of the right consistency (lil watery) it might take some more time.

Coming to the next step, sauce preparation:
Oil + Onion + Spring onion white bulb portion (opt) + green chilli (opt) + Ginger garlic paste + soy sauce + tomato sauce + chilli sauce + baked cauliflower



Garnish with the remaining portion of spring onion or corriander leaves. Serve hot with roti, paratha or Dosa.
