Panchamirtham

Today being Thai Poosam , I made Panchamirtham as prasadam ... Saw this recipe here and made it ...as I don't get Malai vazhaipazham , I used Pachai vazhaipazham.. The main reason for using Malai vazhaipazham (Small bananas) is it has less water content and U will get thick consistency panchamirtham ...

Ingredients needed :
  • Malai Vazhaipazham
  • Honey
  • Palm sugar
  • Pitted dates
  • Kalkandu (Sugar candy)
Method :
Peel the skin of bananas , chop the dates finely...In a bowl add the bananas and  mash it well using your hands ...then goes in honey , palm sugar , chopped dates ..keep mixing it well with your hands and then add kalkandu and mix it once ...

    Method :

Wash and pat dry gooseberry and chop it into pieces and discard the seeds. Heat a kadai and dry roast  mustard seeds then roast the methi seeds ...and allow it to cool well and then powder it ..in the same kadai add the sesame oil and heat it for few mins and allow it to cool off completely ...
